Phra Pid-Ta, Pid-Dhavarn of Wat Thong
The amuret has been created in year BE 2442-2453 and the
major portion of the amulets were Phra Pid-Dhavarn-nine human orifices'closed gesture and
Phra Pid-Ta were minor portion-eyes'closed gesture.
The amulets are mixed metal based. The one that is
strong in silver content, its skin will be blackened. The bronze one will be strong in
gold content, other are made of iron ore or an alloy. It is said that a powder based mixed
with burnt palm leaves is also been created.
The technique of creating Phra Pid-Dhavarn of Luang Phor
Thub is said to be created one by one basis by pouring the liquid material into a prepared
mould and when the material hardens it takes the shape of the mould. The mould has been
artistically created set by set and that is why the size, shape and its appearance is
differed.
